Is Hormonal Birth Control Bad for You?

Lately, there’s been quite a lot of buzz on social media platforms about hormonal birth control, raising questions and concerns. It’s natural to wonder: Are these methods safe? Should you consider other options? 

Hormonal birth control methods, such as the pill, patch, ring, shot, implant, and hormonal IUDs, have been widely used for decades and are among the most thoroughly studied medications available. These methods are generally safe and defective, offering benefits beyond pregnancy prevention, like regulating menstrual cycles and reducing symptoms of conditions like PCOS and endometriosis. While some individuals may experience mild side effects like mood swings, nausea, or headaches, serious complications are rare, and for many, the benefits outweigh the risks.
